Welcome to St. Anthony’s Church
We kindly ask that you respect our Parish Church guidance:
¨ Please turn off your mobile phone when you enter the Church.
¨ Please remember that many parishioners like to pray before and after the mass so please be respectful and keep talking/noise to a minimum.
¨ People displaying any symptoms of Covid or Flu should stay at home and not travel to church or participate in person.
¨ Hand sanitiser is available near the entrances to the Church.
¨ The use of face masks is a personal choice.
¨ Holy Communion can now be received on the tongue or on the hand and The Sign of Peace can now be carried out with handshakes (if you so wish).
Mass times:
Mondays to Saturdays: 9.30am (and 7.30pm on Tuesdays);
Sunday Masses: 6pm (Saturday evenings); 9.30am; 11.15am and 5.30pm.
Adoration and Benediction: Every Friday at 7:30pm
Please note that after every week day mass (except Wednesdays) The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for 30 minutes so that parishioners can pray for world peace.
The Angelus
The Angelus will be said every Saturday at 6pm, before the evening Mass, and after the 11.15am Mass on Sunday.

Sunday Teas: The next Sunday teas will be served by the following groups:
1st September: The Knights of St Columba
8th September: The Parish Pastoral Council
15th September: The Union of Catholic Mothers
Wednesday Teas (after the 9.30am Mass) will resume on the 11th September.
Recently Deceased: Please pray for the souls of Felix D’Costa and Patrick (Joe) Nolan.
The funeral for Felix D’Costa will be on Monday 2nd September at 11am at Beckenham Crematorium.
The funeral for Patrick (Joe) Nolan will be at 12 noon on Friday 6th September followed by the committal at Wallington (Bandon Hill) Cemetery.
May their souls rest in peace.

Thank you: Brigid Sullivan and family wish to thank you for your offers of sympathy, Masses and Novenas. Your support and kindness during this sad time is very much appreciated and is a great comfort.
Anerley Bridge Club: Anerley Bridge Club is seeking new members. They are a social and friendly club. They meet every Monday from 12.30 – 4.30pm. The weekly subscription fee is £4 which includes refreshments. For more information, please contact Bill on 07949 871865 or 020 8771 1876 or just drop in on Monday at 12.30pm. They look forward to seeing you.
Knights of St Columba: On Sunday 15th September, the Knights of St Columba will be holding their monthly meeting in the Parish Centre at 11am. Any man in the Parish that is interested in finding out more about the Knights is cordially invited to attend.
Introduction for new readers: If you are interested in serving the parish by proclaiming God’s word in the readings at Mass, please come along to an introduction meeting on Tuesday 1st October at from 8.00 to 9.00 pm at the church.

Tax payers, please join the Gift Aid programme allowing our parish to increase the value of every donation it receives from tax payers by 25%. Weekly Masses in Croydon University Hospital: The weekly Masses will resume on Wednesday 4th September at 12 noon in the Hospital Chapel.
Service of Prayer and Thanksgiving – Lewisham Foodbank: This will be on Thursday 12th September at 7pm at St Laurence Church, 37 Bromley Road, SE6 2TS. An open invitation for supporters of Lewisham Foodbank to gather to worship, hear stories, give thanks for what God has done and pray for current needs and challenges.

Annual Service for those harmed by abuse – Service of hope and healing: You are warmly invited to the annual service of hope and healing for those that have been harmed by abuse and for those that work with or support those that have been harmed. The service will be at St George’s Cathedralon on Wednesday 25th September at 6.30pm. Afterwards all are invited to tie a ribbon to our ‘LoudFence’ as a sign of solidarity, care and hope for survivors and as a memorial for those that have been lost to abuse.

Local Food Bank: Please help support families in need by contributing to the local food bank. If you would like to donate then please leave your donations at the back of the Church.
Thank you to all those people who help support the Parish: Those who help in whatever way in the Parish, serve on the altar, catechists, read at Mass, clean the Church, arrange flowers, help with Parish events or generally help in the background, are thanked for their generous help and support.
If you would like to book a Mass, there are envelopes at the back of the church.
