We kindly ask that you respect our Parish Church guidance:
¨ Please turn off your mobile phone when you enter the Church.¨
Please remember that many parishioners like to pray before and after the Mass so please be respectful and keep talking/noise to a minimum.
¨ If you would like to book a Mass, there are envelopes at the back of the Church.
¨ Parish Business: Father Joseph is available between 7pm to 8pm on Wednesdays if you would like to speak to him in person or on the phone.
Mass Times:
Mondays to Saturdays: 9.30am (and 7.30pm on Tuesdays)
Sunday Masses: 6pm (Saturday evenings); 9.30am; 11.15am and 5.30pm
Adoration and Benediction: Every Friday at 7.30pm
The Angelus will be said every Saturday at 6pm, before the evening Mass, and after the 11.15am Mass on Sunday.
Sunday Teas for October: Next Sunday’s teas will be served by the Knights of St Columba (5th October).
The Parish Pastoral Council will be serving the teas on the 12th October and The Union of Catholic Mothers will be serving the teas on Sunday 19th October.
Thank you to all those who help out with the Sunday teas.
Recently Deceased: Please pray for the soul of Abdul Sam Banugura. His funeral will be at St Anthony’s on Thursday 16th October at 11am followed by the burial at 1pm at Biggin Hill Cemetery.
Please also pray for the soul of Ermyntrude Catherine Adams who was laid to rest recently. May their souls rest in peace.

The Rosary In October: The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. Those who recite five decades of the Rosary in church, or a family, or as a group may gain a plenary indulgence daily. You can also recite daily the Litany of Loreto and the Prayer to Saint Joseph.
Rosary Service: Next Sunday is Rosary Sunday. There will a Rosary service at 4pm. All welcome, please come.
Annual Mass Count: For information – The Annual Mass Count has started and will be continuing over the next 3 weekends (27th/28th Sept; 4th/5th Oct and 11th/12th October).
Infant Baptisms: The Church requests that children are brought to be baptised as soon as practicable after birth and before they are six months old. If you would like to arrange an infant baptism then please complete a baptism request form and return it to the presbytery. You will then be contacted to discuss the baptism arrangements.
RCIA Programme – 2025/2026: This programme is meant for adults who wish to be baptised or receive any of the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, i.e. Baptism, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Please complete an RCIA request form and return it to the presbytery. The forms are available at the back of the Church.
First Holy Communion: The First Reconciliation and Holy Communion Programme is due to start soon. Therefore, if you want your child, who is in Yr3 or above, to participate in the programme, please complete an application form from the back of the Church. The form can be given to Fr Joseph or posted in at the presbytery (next to the Church). You will then be contacted in due course.
Marriages: If you wish to get married then please contact Father Joseph as soon as possible. We need at least six months notice.
CAFOD Family Fast Day: Friday 5th October is Family Fast Day. Please collect an envelope from the back of Church and return next week.
First Friday – 3rd October: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 7:30pm
Gift Aid: We would like to say a big thank you to all parishioners who signed up for our Gift Aid Scheme. This bonus income for the parish has been made possible because parishioners who pay UK income tax have completed a Gift Aid Declaration form, and It has not cost them a penny more! If you pay UK tax please do consider filling in a Gift Aid Declaration Form (available at the back of the Church) as it does make a big difference to our parish finances. Thank you.
Financial Support: We appreciate your continued care and support for our parish Community. Parishioners can contribute directly to the Parish bank account: Natwest Bank Beckenham Branch, Sort Code 60-02-12 and Account Number 46000208. Tax payers, please join the Gift Aid programme allowing our parish to increase the value of every donation it receives from tax payers by 25%. We value your assistance in maintaining our wonderful Parish community. Please note that the name of the Parish Bank Account is RCAS St Anthony of Padua Anerley
Grief in Loss, Hope in Christ retreat for the bereaved: 10th to the 12th October 2025. Please contact Marriage and Family Life South East London. mflkent@rcaos.org.uk
Secondary School Supplementary Forms: If you are applying for a Catholic Secondary School for your child, please note that the school now require a certificate of Catholic practice to be completed instead of a supplementary form. Father Joseph is available to sign these certificates next week on Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm to 8pm. No appointment is needed. Please bring the completed certificate of Catholic practice with you.
Commission for Promoting Racial and Cultural Inclusion – Free Webinar: On 16th October from 7 – 8.45pm there will be a webinar which will offer a meaningful opportunity to reflect, share and entrust our work to Mary’s intercession. Please see the notice board for further information.
Church Cleaning: The Church is cleaned every Saturday at 10am. New volunteers are always welcome.
Thank you: Thank you to all those people who help support the Parish. Those who help in whatever way, serving on the altar, being a catechist, reading at Mass, cleaning the Church, arranging flowers, helping with Parish events or general help in the background. All are thanked for their generous help and support.
