Welcome to St. Anthony’s Church
We kindly ask that you respect our Parish Church guidance:
¨ Please turn off your mobile phone when you enter the Church.
¨ Please remember that many parishioners like to pray
before and after the mass so please be respectful and keep talking/noise to a minimum.
¨ People displaying any symptoms of Covid, Flu or Norovirus should stay at home and not travel to church or participate in person.
¨ The use of face masks is a personal choice.
¨ Holy Communion can now be received on the tongue or on the hand and The Sign of Peace can now be carried out with handshakes (if you so wish).
Mass times:
Mondays to Saturdays: 9.30am
Please note: There is no mass on Tuesday evenings but the church will be open from 7.30pm until 8.15pm for private devotion to St Anthony.
Sunday Masses: 6pm (Saturday evenings); 9.30am; 11.15am and 5.30pm.
Adoration and Benediction: Every Friday at 7:30pm
The Angelus: The Angelus will be said every Saturday at 6pm, before the evening Mass, and after the 11.15am Mass on Sunday.
Sunday Teas: The next Sunday teas will be served by the following groups:
6th July: Knights of St Columba or UCM
13th July: The Parish Pastoral Council
20th July: The Union of Catholic Mothers or KSC
Recently Deceased: Please pray for the soul of Marija Bock (Marijana). Her funeral will take place at 12.30pm on Thursday 3rd July followed by the committal at Beckenham Crematorium at 2pm. May her soul rest in peace.
Please also continue to pray for the soul of Father Sunith, our Parish Priest, who died recently.
Sea Sunday: Please note that the 12th-13th July will be Sea Sunday weekend. This is the day in the Church’s year when it prays and collects funds for all those who live and work at sea. Seafarers and fishers play a vital role in all our lives, but they often work in difficult, hazardous conditions.

Ordination Mass: The Ordination Mass of Stephen Trafford to the Priesthood will be on 19th July 12.30pm at St George’s Cathedral.
Mass of Thanksgiving: There will be a Mass of Thanksgiving to mark the 30th Anniversary of the priestly ordination of Archbishop John Wilson. The Mass of Thanksgiving will take place at St George’s Cathedral on Friday 25th July at 7pm, followed by a Reception in Amigo Hall. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
All Nations Retreat: Please see the notice board for details of this family and youth residential retreat to be held in Oxfordshire from 15th to the 17th August.

Mass to commemorate the Translation of the Relics of St Thomas of Canterbury: The Mass will be celebrated at 19:00 on Monday 7 July 2025. All are cordially invited to attend this important annual celebration. It is imperative that those who wish to attend the Mass make an online booking to secure their access to the Cathedral. Leadership and Legacy: The Future of Women in the Church: On Friday 11th July from 10.30am to 5pm there will be a one day conference at New Hall Boreham House, Chelmsford. This is a unique opportunity for clergy, lay leaders, educators, and parishioners to explore how leadership and legacy are being reimagined through the contributions of women in our Church. Hosted by New Hall School in collaboration with The Tablet, the conference offers a space for dialogue, discernment, and renewal. Free shuttle from Chelmsford Station to the venue. Ticket includes a quarterly digital subscription to The Tablet (worth £21.50), which can be gifted to a friend or parishioner. National Pilgrimage of Reparation & Prayer for the Sanctity of Life to Walsingham, Saturday 2nd August is to be led by Bishop John Keenan of Paisley diocese, Scotland . Everyone is invited to join in this pilgrimage either in person or via the Shrine livestream at https://www.walsingham.org.uk/live-stream/. Southwark Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes: There are still a few places available on the pilgrimage, which Southwark makes to Lourdes from 22 to 29 August this year. Celebration of St Faustina Birthday: The Divine Mercy Apostolate, London is holding a Celebration of St Faustina Birthday at Aylesford Priory, Aylesford, Kent on Bank Holiday Monday 25 August 2025 from 10:30 am to 4pm. The reflection day will include teachings on the Message of Divine Mercy, Holy Mass, Hour of Mercy with Stations of the Cross, Adoration and Benediction and Veneration of the Image of Merciful Jesus. All are thanked for their generous help and support.
