TWENTY-NINTH SUNDAY (C)
Today is World Mission Sunday
World Mission Sunday supports missionaries who work alongside communities that are poor or in need, regardless of their background or belief. By supporting Missio, the Pope’s charity for world mission, you will help missionaries like Sr Clara share the love of Christ with those most in need. Please pray for the mission of the Church throughout the world and give what you can. If you are a taxpayer, please use the Gift Aid envelopes.
World Mission Sunday is vital to the growth of the Church and the spread of the Gospel in predominately impoverished and remote areas overseas. The funds raised build much-needed infrastructure, from chapels and schools to orphanages, clinics and dispensaries.
Requested by the local community, the support from Missio transforms lives and creates a hub from which the young Church can flourish and grow. World Mission Sunday is one of only three Papal collections and has been especially chosen by the Holy Father to support the mission of the Church in the world.

For the month of October:
Pope Francis has declared that October 2019 will be a special month of prayer and action to strengthen and grow God’s mission through the Church. This month aims to encourage Catholics into a deeper relationship with Jesus through prayer; to look to, and learn from, the actions and sacrifices of our saints, martyrs and living missionaries; to financially support overseas mission, through Missio; and to rediscover and renew our understanding of overseas mission (missio ad gentes). For more information, please visit missio.org.uk/emm
